 itten for a large wind band ensemble\, as apparently King George preferre
 d winds and percussion and hoped there would be ‘no fiddles’\, so Han
 del excluded the strings against his own will for the\nfirst performance! 
 Here in 2026 we are welcoming string players but we’d like as many oboe
 s and bassoons as we can muster\, so please pass this on to your woodwind 
 friends. We shall be playing at A440 and the music will be sent out after
