The Early Music Forum of Scotland (EMFS) brings together singers, players, listeners and instrument makers from around Scotland with an interest in the medieval, renaissance and baroque periods. Our members range from professional to amateur, from singers to players of viols, recorders, sackbutt, cornett and more!
We organise occasional workshops for singers and instrumentalists as well, as early music performances in public spaces.
EMFS Members have access to our membership list, allowing you to find kindred musical spirits, and receive regular email notifications of current and future early music events, workshops, courses and concerts. EMFS membership entitles you to a discount on EMFS workshop fees.
This website carries details of early music workshops, concerts and courses in Scotland and beyond and is a source of more general information about Early Music.
Are you a member of a professional or amateur choir or instrumental group? We are happy to publicise your event(s). Just complete this form or email us the details. To qualify for listing, concerts should include at least one piece of music from the renaissance or baroque periods.
