The Early Music Forum of Scotland brings together players, singers, listeners, dancers and makers from Scotland and beyond. We encourage our members to join together to sing and play early music of all kinds, from the medieval to the baroque.
If you are interested in joining, or have questions, visit the 'Membership' page.
EMFS was founded in 1992 and is run by volunteer members to promote participation in early music throughout Scotland.
EMFS organises practical workshops with leading professionals for singers and instrumentalists - see Courses and Workshops for more details.
We organise occasional informal performances in public venues. These give the general public a chance to sample a wide variety of early music and allow singers and players to meet fellow enthusiasts.
EMFS is part of the UK network of Early Music Fora and is a member of Making Music Scotland.
